Flame retardant fabrics are divided into two types: fiber flame retardant and finishing flame retardant.

There are two main ways for textiles to achieve flame retardant functionality:

1. The flame retardant with flame retardant function is added to the fiber through polymer polymerization, blending, copolymerization, composite spinning, graft modification, etc., to make the fiber flame retardant.

2. The flame retardant is coated on the surface of the fabric or penetrated into the interior of the fabric by post-finishing. These two methods give different flame retardant links to fabrics, and their effects are also different. At present, the best way is to modify textiles with nanomaterials and nanotechnology.
